We have direct frontage to the Ringarooma River as it passes through Branxholm. Start at the Red Branxholm Bridge and make your way up to the picnic table for lunch!
Branxholm hosts a great children's play park, along with bbq equipment & bathroom facilities. There is also a full-size fenced tennis court, and a swimming pool (open through summer)
Branxholm is home to the Tin Timbers Cafe which boasts the very best home made pies in Tasmania! They're also home to amazingly good coffee, delicious cakes, and are licenced, so you can have a beer.
The Imperial Hotel at Branxholm is a hive of activity for locally staying backpackers, home to the currently reining champion ladies darts team and has a pool table frequented by many.
It's a great place to have a parmy & a pint!
A very short wander down our footpath and you'll arrive at Casa Pinocchio - the tastiest pizzas and exquisite desserts to be found in Branxholm or even the greater North East! Highly recommended by guests at our cottage!

There's just something about the beach at Tomahawk, only a 45 minute drive North of Branxholm.
It's a lovely place for children to play, calm enough for a kayak, and miles of sand to wander along.

Stretch yourself out after a big day exploring our beautiful corner of the state.
Approximately 40 minutes drive towards Lilydale will bring you to the world famous Bridstowe Lavender Farm.
We highly recommend the purple ice-cream!
If you are heading towards St Helens, take the scenic drive to Priory Ridge and treat yourself to their amazing wines.
These lovely folks create some truly delicious vintages, you'll want more than one bottle.
A phenomenon that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated - the water really is that bright turquoise colour!
Little Blue Lake can be found a half hour from Branxholm, at South Mt Cameron.
A lovely bush walk through a forest of ferns, wonderful for nature lovers, and a top spot for a picnic!
Take the car for this one, follow the dirt road 13kms along to the sign for Mt Paris Dam. Park up and a short walk will have you at the break in the great wall, with some magnificent scenery and wildlife.
Take the car on a clear day, or even go up to watch the sun rise in most magnificent fashion. This lookout can be a little hard to find but is worth the trek!
