See Platypus on the Ringarooma River Walk

We have direct frontage to the Ringarooma River as it passes through Branxholm. Start at the Red Branxholm Bridge and make your way up to the picnic table for lunch!

Park, Pool or Tennis?

Branxholm hosts a great children's play ground, along with bbq equipment and bathroom facilities. 

There is also a full-size fenced tennis court, and a swimming pool (open through summer)

Branxholm is home to the Tin Timbers Cafe which boasts the very best home made pies in Tasmania! They're also home to amazingly good coffee, delicious cakes, and are licenced, so you can have a beer.

Play 8-ball at the local

The Imperial Hotel at Branxholm is a hive of activity for locally staying backpackers, home to the currently reining champion ladies darts team and has a pool table frequented by many. 

It's a great place to have a parmy and a pint!

Really Great Pizza

Hungry in the heart of the village? 

Wander into Casa Pinocchio - the tastiest pizzas and exquisite desserts to be found in Branxholm or even the greater North East! Highly recommended by visitors to the area!

A walk through the hills

Brisies Race

A lovely bush walk through a forest of ferns, wonderful for nature lovers, and a top spot for a picnic!

Mt Paris Dam

Take the car for this one, follow the dirt road 13kms along to the sign for Mt Paris Dam. Park up and a short walk will have you at the break in the great wall, with some magnificent scenery and wildlife.

Grey's Hill Lookout

Hike, bike, horseride or just take the car on a clear day, or even go up to watch the sun rise in most magnificent fashion. This lookout can be a little hard to find  but is worth the trek!

Blue Derby

If you're here with a bike, you'd be here for the world-class tracks at Derby.

Derby Pump Track

A playground for kids and adults alike, the pump track is designed to be fun for all levels of rider ability.

Derby Lake / Brisies Hole

A gentle and easy track around Brisies Hole, perfect for a family bike outing. 

Take the trail from the Branxholm recreation ground all the way to Derby!

Out and About

Bridstowe Lavender

Approximately 40 minutes drive towards Lilydale will bring you to the world famous Bridstowe Lavender Farm.

We highly recommend the purple ice-cream!

Priory Ridge

If you are heading towards St Helens, take the scenic drive to Priory Ridge and treat yourself to their amazing wines. 

These lovely folks create some truly delicious vintages, you'll want more than one bottle.

Little Blue Lake

A phenomenon that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated - the water really is that bright turquoise colour! 

Little Blue Lake can be found a half hour from Branxholm, at South Mt Cameron.
